The Trade Off Generation

app power instead of memory

can take cool pics but no bluetooth

speakerphone but no video

i really have a dream that our grand kids wont have to trade off like we have had to in our generation. i feel we are living in an age where technology is being driven by technologists... not marketing or end users. Is Apple really that cool ? No, its just that one of of the kids - Steve Jobs - got behind the wheel and walks into the room and says "nooooo, do this"... Also, their competition sssssssucks. Most PC companies are manufacturing and distribution companies... not excitement companies. And what usually happens, is that the person running them is such a powerful personality that his/her politics kill anyone who is different to them... i.e. an old skool manufacturing guy is NOT going to accept a dreamer dude who wants to make changes to the product to include latest interface language for syncing. DONT get me started on syncing.

so, we think we are so cool because we can talk on cell phones withouth wires... but in the age of technology, the only thing we are missing is the ice... cause we are banging rocks together yo.

Phil Harrison..you're just getting me more excited..

Over at the GDC, Sony exec Phil Harrison hinted that some consumers will be disappointed.

Well Phil, your speculation that there will be initial launch shortages only fires up the desire within Troy and myself.
